The Metronic Zapbox Eco 2 is a digital 'Freeview' set-top-box which has a stylish gloss-black fascia design but remains affordable. If you still have an analogue television in the bedroom or kitchen, convert it to digital in one easy step, with this curvy box.
The Zapbox Eco 2 features an easy to use 8-day Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) which shows you what's on for the coming week and makes surfing the channels a doddle. You can also set reminders for programmes you don't want to miss and even create lists of your favourite channels. It also gives you fantastic digital text functions, with a huge amount of news, sports and entertainment information available at the touch of a button.
Connectivity is well-thought out too. There's an easy Scart connection with RGB video output for a great picture. There's also a Scart input so you can pass-through output from your VCR or DVD player/recorder. On top of this there's a coaxial digital audio output - perfect for connecting to a home cinema system, and a stereo line output - ideal for connecting to a hifi or stereo system.
The Zapbox Eco 2 is also very energy efficient and is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust. It hardly draws any power in standby mode and a minimum in operation.
